Ontario’s Drive Clean
In an effort to control smog and improve our environment, Ontario has recently implemented a program designed to ensure that all vehicles adhere to acceptable emissions standards. This program not only helps to control pollution, but is now the law in Ontario. You’ll need to have your vehicle tested if:
- You are located in the Drive Clean area
- You operate a vehicle more than three years old, but less than twenty model years old
- Your vehicle is an odd model year in an even calendar year, or an even model year in an odd calendar year
- Light duty vehicles (Ex. cars, SUVs, small vans, light trucks) must pass an emissions test every two years. Upon completion, you’ll be issued a report which is required for license plate renewals.
Bring your vehicle into Eastside Chevrolet and we’ll perform the test for you. The test itself is fast and generally inexpensive. If work is deemed to be required, know that we are an accredited “Drive Clean” facility authorized to make the necessary repairs.
